Nominee: Nicki Alexandre
Nominated by: Maggie Esson
NICKI Alexandre has been nominated for Customer Service Employee of the Year for her ‘quite extraordinary’ customer service.
Maggie Esson, who went to the Judicial Greffe for some ‘dry and sensitive personal business’, said that Ms Alexandre ‘brought life and light to her dealings with me on more than one occasion’. She added: ‘Demonstrating empathy and care, balanced with high levels of professionalism, is really quite a challenge in this sector of customer service’.
Ms Esson continued: ‘We’re expecting to receive this level of customer service in catering and retail, but in a quasi-legal setting you expect cold professionalism, so I was surprised by how clearly she loved her job and wanted to do her best for her customers. You felt like she was catering to your individual needs, and this kind of treatment was such a nice and unexpected thing to receive.’
Ms Alexandre works as capacity and LPA officer at the Greffe and Ms Esson says that she is ‘extremely approachable and finds the right balance between warm human interaction and professionalism’. She added: ‘If anyone was concerned or anxious about going into the Greffe, she would put you at ease, and make you feel confident enough to say anything and ask anything without feeling stupid or naïve.’
She continued: ‘She never talks down to you. She knows her stuff really well, and is brilliant at explaining and interpreting things in language you can understand, which is such a hard thing to do. You get the sense she would go the extra mile every time. Her attention to detail and expression of care was far in excess of what I expected in my dealings with the Judicial Greffe and this should be recognised.’
