MILTON FREITAS, a personal mortgage arranger at Natwest International Bank on Bath Street in St Helier, has been nominated for Customer Service Employee of the Year.
Mr Freitas was nominated by Ann-Marie Weatherby, a recent client of Mr Freitas. She said: ‘my husband and I recently took out a mortgage with Natwest and Milton was our guide throughout the process, we were both a little baffled with all the paperwork and information required and at times it was stressful and a lot of jargon to take in.’
But that’s why Mrs Weatherby was so thankful to be served by Mr Freitas: ‘Milton was so patient and explained every little detail and went out of his way to help any way he could and he always made it clear we could email or ring him any time in office hours and ask as many questions as we wanted (and we did!)’
Mrs Weatherby and her husband said Mr Freitas was ‘relaxed and very helpful and friendly’ during their entire process of getting a mortgage, and that he was ‘polite and nothing was too much trouble and we felt like he genuinely wanted to help us get a mortgage.’
Before being put in contact with Mr Freitas, Mr and Mrs Weatherby had struggled by either not being able to get what they needed, or being dealt with by a rude advisor, so Mr Freitas was a welcome breath of fresh air and ‘shone out above the rest.’
