Nominees: Becky Hay and Jenny Bradshaw
Nominated by: Laura Symes and Emily Smith
FOR OVER 20 years between them, Becky Hay and Jenny Bradshaw have been working as customer service representatives at the Channel Islands Co-operative Society. For all their hard work, and because they ‘always welcomed visitors with a smile,’ they’ve been nominated for Customer Service Employees of the Year.
Laura Symes, who works as a marketing officer at the local Co-operative Society, nominated the pair because ‘they are true ambassadors for our business, proving that anything and everything can be achieved with the right level of commitment and dedication, which they bring on a daily basis. We are all proud of our ladies who look after our company reception desk and are the 'face' of the Co-op for us.’
As well as their dedication to the job, Ms Symes also admires how the pair have adapted to the changes they’ve seen in their time working at the Co-operative: ‘they have seen so much change and growth - not only in the business but in the retail industry as a whole - but still embrace and take on every challenge that comes their way with a stride. They support each other and colleagues throughout the business, taking the time to get to know everyone and to offer help and support where they can. They deserve to be recognised for their hard work and commitment which they provide daily and going above and beyond for customer service.’
Ms Hay and Ms Bradshaw were also nominated by Emily Smith, who recently started working for the organisation, and said: ‘As a new starter to the company, Becky and Jenny have made me feel very welcome and have gone out of their way to help me with anything I have been stuck with.’
Ms Smith also nominated the two women because they ‘go out of their way to be as helpful as they can,’ always remaining ‘positive and cheerful,’ no matter the workload.
